I wanted to create new custom banners that would look like they belonged on the show, but were still unique to each person/family. It was important to me that I didn’t duplicate a sigil that was already in the show. The House Name is obviously the last name of the family, the House Words is that family’s motto, and the House Sigil is a symbol that represents the family. Each banner features three unique aspects, the House Name, the House Words and the House Sigil, which includes the banner color scheme. I also used a custom ‘Game of Thrones’ font for the Game of Thrones logotype on the bottom, which I downloaded from here. The font that I used for the text is called ‘FatCow,’ which I downloaded from (click the link to be taken to the font). Download the Top 20 Free Game of Thrones Font font details. The background is a combination of a color layer with a grungy stone texture overlay and a radial or linear gradient overlay to highlight a specific section of the banner. The border designs are custom made with the symbol of the seven gods in each corner. The design is modeled off of the images above, but I added my own flare to them. Almost like a modern day coat of arms, specific to your family. When I found this image, I was inspired to create banners of my own for family and friends who were fans of the TV show or just wanted a banner of their own.
